Observation: Twelve states report that they have "PÃ¢â‚¬â€œ20 longitudinal data systems" that match KÃ¢â‚¬â€œ12 data with postsecondary data and track the progress of individual students from kindergarten through college graduation; Thirty-seven states and the District of Columbia are in the process of developing or plan to develop PÃ¢â‚¬â€œ20 longitudinal data systems.
Observation: No state has yet put in place a comprehensive accountability system based on a broad array of college- and career-ready indicators; however, 11 states have begun reporting the percentage of students who earn a college- and career-ready diploma, and 18 states now report the percentage of students who require remediation upon entering college.
