Observation: The top three suggestions for improving the quality of science education in California are: more resources/better science equipment in classrooms, more training for science teachers, and more time spent on science education in high school.
Challenge: There is a need for more transparency and communication between parents and schools. Californians have a positive view of teachers, but many admit that they do not know much about the science programs offered at their child's school and are unsure about the adequacy of teachers' background in science education.
