2011 Minnesota Baseline Housing Measures

  • Description

In 2007, McKnight's board of directors adopted an affordable housing evaluation framework designed to foster mutual accountability for results between McKnight and our grantee-partners. After developing baselines and outcome measures with key partners and data experts, we concentrated on determining how best to document progress while providing useful information for the affordable housing field. McKnight commissioned grantee HousingLink to establish quantitative baseline measures in seven areas, tracking progress over time toward short- and long-term outcomes. Now in its fourth iteration, HousingLink's report on 2011 reviews five years of data around trends in federal and state funding, foreclosures, and innovative strategies to maximize Minnesota's return on investment in affordable housing.
